1. Introduction
Lynio is made by Carpe Diem Creations ('we', 'our', 'us'). Lynio has no user accounts and no cloud sync. This policy explains what stays on your devices, the few services Lynio uses, and the choices you have.
2. Data That Stays on Your Devices
Health data, contacts, notification preferences and your watch's settings travel only between your iPhone and your watch, over Bluetooth or your local Wi-Fi network. Health data is written only to Apple Health, and only with your permission. Notifications, calls and media controls reach your watch through iOS's own Bluetooth services, and Lynio cannot read your notification content. None of this data is sent to us or to anyone else.
3. Services Lynio Uses
(a) Usage analytics: anonymous, non-identifying usage counts, such as which setup steps were completed, go to our own self-hosted analytics service (Umami). (b) Crash reports: when the app crashes or a connection error occurs, a diagnostic report goes to Sentry. It contains error types and technical details only. (c) Subscriptions: purchases are processed by Apple and by RevenueCat, using an anonymous app user ID. (d) Support: if you contact us or send feedback through Featurely, our self-hosted support and feedback service, we receive what you send (your message, an optional screenshot and an optional email address), plus an anonymous support ID, your plan, and technical details such as your app and iOS version so we can help. (e) Weather: if you turn on Weather, Lynio sends your approximate location, rounded to about 1 km, to MET Norway (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute) to get your forecast. Like any web service, MET Norway also sees your device's IP address. Apple's location services turn that approximate location, or a city you search for, into a place name. You can choose a city instead of sharing your location, and turning Weather off stops these requests. None of these services receive your health, contacts or notification data.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use analytics and crash reports only to fix problems and improve Lynio, and support messages only to answer you and improve the product. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build a profile of you.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Data leaves your devices only in the cases described in section 3, and only to the services named there. We do not share health, contacts or notification data with anyone.
6. Data Retention
Data on your devices stays there until you delete it or remove Lynio. Lynio's diagnostic logs are kept on your devices for up to 7 days and leave them only if you share them yourself. Analytics, crash reports and support conversations are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You decide which permissions Lynio gets, and you can change them at any time in your iPhone's Settings. You can turn Weather off, or choose a city instead of your location, in the app. Because Lynio has no accounts, we hold no profile of you. 8. Children
Lynio is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
